Making trench candles is quite simple. It is enough just to fill an ordinary can with corrugated fireboard and fill everything with melted wax. The last ingredient is the most important in mass production. To create 100 candles, you need to use about 30 kilograms of wax.

How to make trench candles at home?

There are many technologies for the production of home-made fuels. The lightest and most popular requires the following components:

  • an empty tin with a height of 5-7 centimeters;
  • cardboard strips along the height of the tin;
  • cardboard wick;
  • wax or paraffin (from the remains of old candles).

The can should not be too high to burn completely. It must be filled with cardboard twisted into a spiral and poured with melted wax in several stages. The wick must be tightly inserted between the layers and ensure that the wax evenly fills the entire can.

Other methods of making trench candles require pots, plastic water bottles, glass flasks and other improvised means. But tin cans retain heat the best.
